Support by Using Remote Access
For minor adjustments or initial investigation we can often access your PC remotely.
This really only works when you are connected to a brodband internet connection but in an emergency
we have managed to provide some service when a customer has only been using a dial-up connection.
The procedure is as follows, you need to download a small program
from our server by clicking the link below. When you are asked, save it to
your desktop or some other convenient place on your computer, Then check that
we are available to take your call at the office and double click on the icon
you have just downloaded. This will open a window where you can click to start
the process. At our end we get to see your desktop and can control your mouse
pointer and enter data from our keyboard here.
You are still in control of your PC and at any time you can close the program down and
terminate the link. If everything goes to plan we shall either be able to sort out your PC or at least get some idea
of what might be required to cure your problem. Once we disconnect from your PC the program uninstalls itself and
cannot be re-started unless you click on the icon again.
We use this facility on most days and find it convenient and cost effective both for our
customers and our support staff
